Day 7

In the night I was treated to owls hooting. The day started gently with a ride along a road next to the River Glass.
After 8 or 9 miles I reached Struy where I hoped to find second breakfast. The Struy Inn only open some evenings and the Cnoc hotel say they welcome non residents on their roadside sign but not on the door. So a bar and some water before heading up the hill. A bit more pushing today up hills that I would have ridden in my prime, or maybe even a few days ago! Some great views again.
There was less climbing today with  much of the ride on an undulating high level track.
Lunch today was more pot noodles but with a great view.
The descent followed a pipeline before crossing the end of the Orrin Reservoir.
It then followed the River Orrin down.
I reached Contin at 4 to find the campsite hadn't opened for the season and the chip shop didn't open till 4:30. After buying and eating a much needed banana, I stocked up at the village shop. While eating fish and chips, I recharged my phone, got my water bottles refilled, and chatted to a couple of Hungarian bikepackers. I then followed the trail into Contin woods with some very convenient toilets, eventually finding a camping spot by Loch Garve.
A lovely spot but a few insects about.
Today's route.
